I've never been concerned with you DJ. I just thought that since you didn't even really know what racism was by definition maybe you should just stay away from the topic.

You entered the topic, so automatically anything that you've said in the past is relevant. Just like your pal aphrodite, she's gonna be wearing this albatross around her neck for the rest of her time she frequents this board. I'll make sure of that.
She's not my pal. I don't even know her. I highly disagree with her views though. But I'm not going to call her and herboyfriend inbred and get personal about it.
You don't think that laughing about and talking glowingly about the Klan is being personal? How do you think she feels about the kids you went to school with? Ced Mitchell? The Pinkstons? I'd bet she'd have some wonderful things to say about them wouldn't she? All because they have a different skin pigmentation than you and me. I put people like that about 1/2 of a fraction above pedophiles and rapists. You go ahead and defend them because people get pissed about it and tell her what they think of her. I'll try to understand why you'd do it.
I haate racism just like you do Ironlung. There's a fine line between telling someone what you think of their views nd calling them names. That's my main concern.
My opinion of aphrodite's opinion, well, racism is wrong (duh). Somebody's skin color should have no impact on what you think of them. It should be their character.
Now when I jumped Castle's throat for something that he didn't even do and came to realize later on that the guilty person didn't do it out of racism, I knew I was wrong. I admitted it. I remember talking to Toby about it on ICQ because he was the mod taking care of it. I even asked him to delete the post saying Castle was racist. Because I realized that it was wrong.
If we had had this post 2 1/2 years ago I, embarrassed to say, would be acting like a 12 year old about it when I was actually 16. College has taught me to be more of an adult. Am I blaming past immaturities on age? Heck no. 12 year olds have acted mmore mature than that.
Back to the point, I hate that this girl and her boyfriend are racists. I hate it. I don't care how much they deserve the insults or how much you think they do. There's no call for some of the stuff I've seen in this thread, including saying racist stuff.
Personally, I hate that she would have her opinion of the PInkstons and Cedric Mitchell. I played t-ball with Cedric years and yeears ago and I eveen played little league baseball on the same team with him. I might add that I always enjoyed playing on the same team with him. My very last year of little league baseball, my birthday which is in August was just a little too late for the cutoff to be placed in junior league, so I was pretty much the only 7th grader that year that was too young to be in junior league. That was Malcolm and Myron's FIRST year. I can say the same thing about them as I said about Cedric.
This girl's view, irks me to no end. But like I said, I don't want to stoop down to any levels.
